Merkl-Gump Earns Endorsements from Regional State Representatives, Building Strong Local Coalition
LEHIGH VALLEY, PA — State Senate candidate Bradley Merkl-Gump today announced endorsements from a broad coalition of regional state representatives, further demonstrating growing support from leaders who know the needs of their communities firsthand.
Merkl-Gump has been endorsed by State Representatives Mike Schlossberg, Pete Schweyer, Brian Munroe, Tim Brennan, Jim Prokopiak, Tina Davis, and Perry Warren.
The endorsements reflect strong confidence from legislators across the region in Merkl-Gump’s ability to deliver results for working families and help secure a Democratic majority in the Pennsylvania Senate.
“These are leaders who are in our communities every day, working with families, small businesses, and local governments to solve real problems,” said Merkl-Gump. “Their support means a great deal because they understand what’s at stake and the kind of leadership this moment requires.”
"We're giving Bradley our full support because he's the leader who will help bring down the cost of living for families in our region. As a teacher and father he sees every day how high prices are straining parents, families, seniors and working people. His affordability agenda will make a real difference in their lives. Bradley is the partner we need in Harrisburg to get it done."
The group of endorsing lawmakers represents a cross-section of communities throughout southeastern Pennsylvania, reinforcing the broad geographic and political coalition behind Merkl-Gump’s campaign.
Merkl-Gump, a public school teacher and school board member, has focused his campaign on lowering costs for families, strengthening public education, and expanding economic opportunity across the Lehigh Valley and beyond.
The endorsement signals alignment with legislators who have been actively working on key issues including affordability, healthcare access, education funding, and infrastructure investment.
“As someone who has served locally, I know how important it is to have strong partnerships at every level of government,” Merkl-Gump added. “I’m proud to have the support of leaders who are committed to delivering real results and making life better for the people we serve.”
Pennsylvania’s 16th Senate District remains one of the most competitive and consequential races in the state, with control of the chamber potentially hinging on its outcome.
